Blood has molecules in it that promote tissue healing. Often times an athlete wants to heal faster. Dr. Gottschalk will draw a patient's blood, process the blood in a centrifuge, and remove a concentrated volume of those healing molecules. This hyper-concentrated solution is injected at the site of tissue damage in order to promote rapid tissue healing. PRP may also be used to promote joint healing in degenerative joint diseases such as arthritis. Learn more.

Most joints have an natural "motor oil" called synovial fluid. Synovial fluid helps lubricate joints. As we age, joints make this fluid less well. A couple of different companies have produced viscosupplement injections (VSI). VSI medications can be thought of as synthetic "motor oil" to help lubricate joints. VSIs are most commonly used in knee joints. Learn more.

TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR PATIENTS.
Dr Gottschalk is one of a kind. He explained my knee injury in a way I could actually understand. It was so nice to finally have a doctor spend time explaining all the different nonsurgical treatment options from simple steroid & gel injections, physical therapy, to new treatments like platelet rich plasma (PRP) & stem cell injections. I highly recommend Dr. Gottschalk to anyone suffering from a hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, elbow or hand injury. I was also able to get an appointment within a day of calling!
Thank you Dr. Gottschalk!
